COMBINE
Projektet COMBINE, syftar till att öka andelen kombinerade transporter (CT) i Östersjöregionen för att göra transporter mer effektiva och miljövänliga.
COMBINE leds av Port of Hamburg Marketing och genomförs tillsammans med 14 partners från Belgien, Danmark, Tyskland, Finland, Litauen, Lettland, Polen och Sverige och är finansierat av Interreg Baltic Sea Region-programmet.

Combine is a podcast where Ernest Czermanski and Jakub Jankiewicz invite persons involved in CT development in BSR and the European market. Discussions and comments provide an up-to-date image of CT and sea freight market. The podcasts are currently available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

E-book on Combined Transport in the Baltic Sea Region
The COMBINE partnership developed this e-book to describe all combined transport related issues in the Baltic Sea Region, e.g., terminals with their service portfolio, operators, and other stakeholders. Most important rules and regulations as well as the most promising last mile solutions and handling technologies have been looked at in a BSR-centric manner.
The publication is the result of the work of many teams working within the framework of the COMBINE Interreg BSR project in the years 2019-2021. The ambition of the authors was to present as comprehensively as possible the issues of organization, operation, and development of combined transport with particular emphasis on the Baltic Sea Region.

Cargo flows in BSR
The dashboard on top interactively presents Eurostat data (Official EU statistical data) on goods flows in the BSR using waterways/rail/road. You have several options available to generate a view that suits you to answer your questions. If you are specifically interested in road-rail combined transport, you may use the lower dashboard that uses UIC/UIRR data as a source.
