Hitachi Energy

Hitachi Energy's charging infrastructure Grid-eMotionTM is a scalable, modular and fully adaptable solution for charging large fleets with electric vehicles for municipal and commercial transport.

The solution is based on compact container solutions with a network connection that occupies a small area. It is thus suitable for charging heavier traffic such as trucks, buses and public charging stations with higher effects.

What distinguishes the technology from Hitachi Energy with many other solutions is that it is based on a centralized direct current (DC) charging technology where we convert alternating current to direct current, which is more compact in comparison if you use AC (alternating current).

When electrifying large vehicle fleets, you need insight into the entire system. Going from liquid fuels to batteries means a whole new way of thinking. Having a system mindset means that we look at everything from how capacity should be available where you are to how to handle high power outputs, how to charge vehicles in a smart way and at the same time take into account limitations that can affect both the electrical system and costs.
