"It's like sweet music to my ears, especially as FFI has funded both E-Charge and REEL. Both projects are excellent examples of taking new technology and trying to solve all parts of the system. You involve the entire chain of actors, from system operators, municipalities, and regions to vehicle manufacturers - all the actors, simply put," says Sofia Wieselfors, program manager at Vinnova, about the system innovation being carried out through various projects in the transport sector.

In Vinnova's podcast 'On the way to future transportation,' logistics strategists Per Olof Arnäs from Einride and Sofia Wieselfors from Vinnova discuss good and exciting examples. Among other things, they delve into REEL and E-Charge.

At the 29th-minute mark, Andreas Josefsson and Nikita Zaiko join the podcast and share experiences and results from these projects, driven by CLOSERse and Lindholmen Science Park. They discuss topics such as so-called megawatt charging, a key factor in successfully electrifying heavy long-haul truck transports.

"We will contribute to making the MCS standard a reality," says Nikita Zaiko, project manager at Lindholmen Science Park.

The conversation is moderated by Daniel Holmberg, press secretary at Vinnova.

E-Charge

Within E-Charge, 14 partners collaborate to develop, test, and demonstrate battery-electric long-haul truck transports. The tests will take place within actual logistics flows in Sweden, and charging will be adapted according to drivers' driving and rest times. Through collaboration, system solutions are being explored that can be scaled up to accelerate the development towards more sustainable transportation.

E-Charge is funded by the Strategic Vehicle Research and Innovation (FFI), the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten), the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), and Vinnova.

REEL

Sure, here is the translation of the text:

"REEL is a national initiative where leading Swedish stakeholders have come together to accelerate the transition to electrified, emission-free heavy transportation on our roads. Within this initiative, we establish, operate, and evaluate around 60 different regional logistics flows involving various types of driving tasks. REEL brings together transport buyers, freight forwarders, distributors, haulage companies, terminal operators, charging point operators, grid operators, as well as suppliers of trucks, charging equipment, and management systems. Additionally, regions, national authorities, and universities are involved in this initiative.

REEL is made possible through support from the Strategic Vehicle Research and Innovation (FFI) by Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency, and the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket)."
