Recognition of Vulnarable Road Users
The purpose of the project is to get an understanding the intentions of road users such as pedestrians, cyclists, and scooter drivers around bus stops to improve safety in road traffic.
Goal
Real-world data collection using ElectriCity Buses in Göteborg and testing applicability of existing models for this data.
Effects
Helping to save lives by using image processing technologies to enhance direct vision of bus drivers, remove blind spots, and detect and warn vulnerable road users.
