CLOSER and its Sustainable Transport Corridors working group – in cooperation with Lund University and the Viktoria Institute – are conducting a feasibility study concerning the Physical Internet. The Physical Internet has been researched, discussed and developed in the area of logistics and transport efficiency for some time at the international level.

Examples of issues in the study include:

  • A description of the current situation on the basis of the results of previous projects and research.
  • Interviews with key people conducting research into the Physical Internet in an effort to create the "Swedish picture".
  • Identification of the approach offering the greatest potential to succeed as a demonstration project.
  • Investigation of interest among the business community and other stakeholders in order to create a demo project in the field that could be used to show results and gains over a limited time period.
