"We invite everyone interested in building a sustainable future city! TREFF provides a unique opportunity to learn how sustainable freight transport solutions can help in reaching our climate goals! We will discuss and provide practical examples of how to turn sustainable innovative solutions from ideas into actual implementations on the market and in the society,"

Anna Kristiansson, Deputy Program Manager at CLOSER and Project Manager of TREFF.

The agenda consists of three blocks and we are presenting inspiring speakers and exciting discussions. In the first block, "The New System," Jon Williamsson, Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, will talk about How a transport-efficient society can be a driving factor in business. Elisabeth Hörnfeldt and Ewa Sondell, representing one of Scania's innovation initiatives, will present some scenarios they are using when creating solutions for the future urban logistics system.

Several pilot demonstrations will showcase examples of testing solutions in reality. We will discuss how demand management can enhance efficiency, such as how Hammarby Sjöstad 2.0 and other initiatives are optimizing local freight transportation. Furthermore, we will talk about the central role of electrification in the transition towards a transport-efficient city.

After lunch, there will be examples of how some viable ideas were implemented on the market and how they work today. There will also be a presentation about how our public funds can act as an instrument to push society in a sustainable direction by Heini-Marja Suvilehto, Sustainability Specialist at the National Agency for Public Procurement.
