The HITS collaboration has become a hit!

Monday, July 3, 2023

As many as 77 percent of all cafes and restaurants in Westfield Mall of Scandinavia, just north of Stockholm, have changed their product deliveries from daytime to off peak during June.

This means that we can offer customers that they have their goods on site already at the start of the working day, which is very much appreciated.

As the deliveries take place in a closed garage, the working environment and efficiency are safer and better than other off peak deliveries. It is positive for visitors, café and restaurant owners as it means less congestion, less time in traffic, less risk of delays and more flexibility, which ultimately contributes to less strain on the environment.

It is HAVI and Martin & Servera that have managed to bring about the change through Urban Services having spoken with the municipality and the center owner, who has agreed to implement this change.

- We have worked with off peak deliveries since 2015. This has given us opportunities to switch to more sustainable fuels such as electricity by increasing the utilization rate of the vehicles, says Håkan Ekmyr at Martin & Servera.
