Digital automatic couplings make European railways time-efficient
The EU program Shift2Rail works to strengthen the rail system across Europe. Innovative solutions are therefore being developed for the entire railway sector, one of which is digital automatic couplings - DAC.
There are several advantages to digital automatic couplings. It creates safer workplaces for staff, it is better for the environment and it saves time - and there with money in the form of working hours. It also enables continued development of future digital solutions.
Digital automatic couplings will have a decisive role in making Europe's railways more efficient. The work with DAC will continue in the Shift2Rail program's successor, Europes Rail, which starts in 2022 - but already in March you can learn more about what DAC can contribute at CLOSER's breakfast seminar.
