Demo: Geofencing for Increased Traffic Safety in Enköping

In the project HasT - Speed-controlled traffic zone in urban environments, which is funded by the Swedish Transport Administration’s Skyltfond, several transport companies and public transport services are participating together with the municipality of Enköping to explore digital technology to increase traffic safety in the city and as an aid for professional drivers in freight and public transport.

During a half-day event, the participants learned more about the pilot and how it impacts traffic safety in the city. They also had the opportunity to speak with transport companies and other partners, take a closer look at some of the vehicles used in the pilot that employ various technical solutions, and take a ride in a speed-secured vehicle.
