VREF Conference on Urban Freight
Urban Freight: Planning for tomorrow and delivering today. A two day conference to be held in Gothenburg on 5th and 6th March 2015. Addressing the issues that are not usually addressed. Involving the stakeholders that are not usually involved.
The conference will build on the successful VREF Event held in October 2012 and will bring together city authorities, business and academia. The conference will focus on two themes:
- The importance of urban freight in long term land use and city planning and urban design
- How to engage with all the relevant stakeholders and encourage changes in behaviour (in the short, medium and longer term)
The conference will include presentations on case studies, initiatives and analytical approaches and techniques. The presentations will provide the starting point for a number of interactive working discussions. The outputs from the conference will be combined into a document that will help to shape the agenda for changes in urban freight.
