FR8RAIL II

FR8RAIL II is a project within Shift2Rail with the main purpose of developing functional requirements for increased performance and intelligence in, for example, the fleet and surrounding processes that, through increased automation, lead to sustainable and attractive European rail freight.

The project will help to reduce the cost of freight transport, increase the amount of freight arriving at the right time, and ensure that the railway system provides relevant and qualitative information to operators and freight buyers.

This project has received funding from the Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 826206. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the Shift2Rail JU members other than the Union.
