New project manager with focus on sustainable transport solutions

Wednesday, July 1, 2020

On June 1, Clara Wallin started as project manager at CLOSER. Clara will primarily work within HITS (Sustainable & Integrated Urban TransportSystem), which is an industry-wide collaboration to develop transport-efficient solutions that contribute to cleaner and safer cities.

Clara is basically an economist and system scientist and has a background in the automotive industry and Scania. Within Scania, she worked with digitalisation and connected vehicles linked to sustainability issues.

With a strong belief in the disruptive technical solutions as an important part of the solution to today's sustainability problems, Clara hopes to be at the forefront in terms of future mobility and transport.

Initially, Clara will focus on the HITS project. HITS focuses on areas linked to urban transport, where the challenges of transitioning to a sustainable society are becoming increasingly complex and require ever greater collaboration between different actors. The project is led by Scania, who is the project owner. The management is in close collaboration with CLOSER, which supports Scania as a neutral collaboration coordinator and contributes with process management for open innovation and horizontal collaboration.

Clara islooking forward to working within CLOSER in projects that gather knowledge and experience from academia, business and government to jointly drive the development of future efficient and sustainable transport.
