The BOOSTLOG project, a 3 year project funded by the EU through HORIZON 2020, will look into successful implementations of results from EU funded R&I projects and assess the impacts generated. It will also identify gaps and priorities for future funding programmes aimming to boost impact generated from fruture EU funded R&I projects to contribute to EU policy objectives, address societal challenges and increase EU’s competitiveness.
For more than two decades EU has invested in research and innovation (R&I) through various Framework Programmes, e.g. FP5 (1998-2002), FP6 (2002-2006), FP7 (2007-2013), and the ongoing HORIZON 2020 (2014 – 2020). This has contributed to the development of the logistics sector through the creation of new companies, implementation of concepts in practice and through science based regulation.
CLOSER will, as a participating partner, with the support of our partnership contribute to mapping and evaluating the various projects. This based on different freight transport and logistics domains such as urban logistics, multimodal transport and sharing of freight and logistics data and more. To ultimately identify high-priority and potential knowledge gaps that require increased prioritization of future R&I efforts.
