Construction, contracting, and civil engineering logistics

Who wants to be involved in the transition towards fossil-free, efficient, and circular construction, contracting, and civil engineering logistics?
With the guiding principles of fossil-free, efficient, and circularity, we aim within this focus area to engage and mobilise stakeholders to jointly solve challenges within construction, contracting, and civil engineering logistics.
The construction, contracting, and civil engineering sector is a cornerstone of society, responsible for creating everything from homes and hospitals to roads and railways. This sector is resource-intensive and has a significant environmental impact. Therefore, it is crucial to develop construction, contracting, and civil engineering logistics to enable a sustainable transition. Through the electrification of transport, secured energy supply, increased traceability, digitalisation, and efficiency improvements, we can reduce the sector's carbon footprint, contribute to reduced traffic disruptions, and increase road safety.
Do you want to be involved in driving this transition?
The City of Gothenburg is aiming for climate-neutral construction by 2030, including fossil-free vehicles, efficient transport systems, and reuse. Being part of CLOSER's focus area for construction, contracting, and civil engineering logistics is important for collaborating with industry and academia, which strengthens decision-making.
